Premier League Mertesacker refuses to take antibiotics

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger told the "Mirror" that defender Per Mertesacker remains a major doubt for the weekend after refusing to take antibiotics to cure a chest infection: "On Wednesday he was not good, we had to send him home. He has a chest infection. The Germans are a bit skeptical of that (antibiotics). I hope that he comes in and says, ‘I am perfectly all right.’”
