Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger told the "Daily Mail" that midfielder Francis Coquelin sustained a knee injury against Chelsea and will be assessed this week, with reports suggesting weeks on the sidelines.

"Coquelin has a knee injury in the same place he suffered one against West Brom last year," Wenger said after the match.

"We don't know if the damage is as big. We have to wait for 48 hours, but he left the stadium in a brace, so that's the one negative. I am a bit worried for that."

The French midfielder, who was treated earlier in the match for an ankle injury, missed two months last season with a knee injury and looks sure to miss the club's Champions League match against FC Basel this week.
